If you would like a quote for your project . . .

For writing projects, please provide as much information as you can, including anticipated length, audience, style, and source material it will be based upon.

For editing quotes, please state the document's total word count. It would also help if you could send the first few pages of your document in order to assess how much work is required and see if our skills are a fit for your needs.

You will have a reply within two days. Once you are ready to proceed, you will received a formal project quote.

This quote will explain:

The exact nature of the service to be provided: It will detail the type and level of service (such as business writing or copyediting), including any limitations or areas for special consideration.

The deadline for the project: The deadline will depend on your requirements, size of the project, and availability to complete the project. Deadlines are always reasonable and the goal is to beat stated deadlines without jeopardizing quality.

The project fee: Each project is different, and costing is based on the length of the material, the timescale, and the level of service required. 

The payment terms:

50% before start of work and the remaining 50% upon completion of work. Longer projects can be broken into thirds. Specific details included with quote.

Payment: PayPal preferred, or check. Please note that work doesn't start until funds clear the bank. If you think there may be a consistent need for editing or writing services, a retainer-based contract may be the way to go.

Terms and Conditions: Will be included with project quote.

If the project quote, delivery date, and terms and conditions are acceptable, you just have to sign and return the forms.

We begin our collaboration with a free consultation session: a telephone call, an e-mail, or a face-to-face meeting (if you are local) so your needs can be clarified and you feel comfortable with the work you are hiring out.

Your time won't be wasted. I will listen and ask questions to understand the scope and purpose of your project and discuss how to best be of service. Then I'll promptly provide you with a formal project quote as discussed above.
